New bilingual signs released for consultation

A package of 94 bilingual traffic signs has been released for public consultation as part of a programme to enable the use of more te reo Māori on traffic signs and support the revitalisation of the language. 

He Tohu Huarahi Māori bilingual traffic signs programme is a partnership between Waka Kotahi and Te Mātāwai.

Consultation closes at 5pm, 30 June 2023. You can share your whakaaro in te reo Māori or English by emailing rules@nzta.govt.nz. There is also an online form for technical submissions.
