Proactive release of reports to Ministers

During the three phases of the MCCF, officials reported to Ministers on progress and sought approvals for proposals from kaitono.

The MCCF was established with three phases:

  • Phase 1 - Rapid Vaccine Acceleration
  • Phase 2 - Whānau, iwi and community resilience
  • Phase 3 - Māori Omicron Response Funding.

For the first two phases, Ministers Robertson, Henare, Jackson, and Davis agreed the operational settings for each phase (see briefings 211021 and 211210).

Most of the other briefings are to Ministers for proposals recommended by a Senior Officials Group.  Briefing 22018 outlines arrangements for the Phase 3 of the Fund.

Te Puni Kōkiri is proactively releasing these briefings, apart from redactions relating to personal identity and commercial confidentiality etc.
