We are searching for a supervising receptionist who wants to be a part of helping Māori to realise their potential by being the first to greet our manuhiri at our head office premises in Wellington.
Creating a lasting positive impression of supreme professionalism and showing them manaakitanga in Te Puni Kōkiri way would be just the start for the successful candidate. The opportunity to work in a Te Puni in which teams support and lift each other to achieve collective success and meeting new people and enjoying different experiences daily may be attractive to those who like variety in a setting of engaging with people.
You will be a well-groomed individual who manages theirs and others’ time well. Being able to organise yourself and others in an unassuming, calm way would be of benefit. A demonstrated working history in similar public facing roles would be an advantage as would the proven ability to operate PABX or other telephone systems. Experience in MS applications and familiarity with using multi-function devices is a must. Being fully proficient in speaking te Reo Māori is essential because you may be dealing with manuhiri for whom English is a second language.
The salary range for this role is $39, 812 to $59,719. Appointment will be made within this range and depend on the candidate’s work experience and demonstrated skills.
Please contact Melanie King, Manager Ministerials and Business Support on 04 819 6039 or 027 267 7603 or via email on kingm@tpk.govt.nz if you would like to discuss this role in more detail.
Applications will be accepted up to 5pm on Friday 20 January 2017.
