This paper sought the Cabinet Legislation Committee’s agreement to the submission to the Executive Council of the Māori Land Court Fees Amendment Regulations 2026 to insert a fee for filing an appeal under section 71 of the Plant Variety Rights Act 2022, and insert a fee for filing an application for leave to appeal out of time under section 71 of the Plant Variety Rights Act 2022. It noted that the Māori Land Court Fees Amendment Regulations 2026 come into force on 30 April 2026.
