Taranaki Māori Trust Board The proposal is to support Taranaki Māori Trust Board to acknowledge and raise awareness about the context and period of the 73 years that Taranaki was in conflict from 1818-1881. This will be achieved by developing, implementing and staging the annual He Rā Maumahara to be held on 28 October 2019 at Kohia Pa near Waitara. The He Rā Maumahara will be supported by events, a speaker’s series and educational programmes underpinning the commemorations through to the 5 November 2019.
