Contribute

If Te Puni Kōkiri supports you, your organisation and/or your mahi, we want to hear from you. We welcome articles, photographs and images celebrating Māori achievement and success from a diverse range of people, including our key stakeholders for consideration in Kōkiri.

Contribution Guidelines

Words

  • Articles of no more than 300 words should be submitted in a word document.
  • Specifications: Font: Arial, Size: 12pts
  • Kōkiri Writing Guide

Photographs

  • No more than four photos should be submitted with each article as high resolution jpegs.
  • Specifications: Minimum size of 200mm at 300dpi.
  • A caption should be provided for each of the photographs naming all individuals or groups.

Images

  • No more than three images should be submitted with each article as a PDF e.g.posters, graphs, events, maps etc.
  • The article and photograph/s or image/s should be submitted electronically (preferably) or provided on a CD.

Deadline

  • Articles and stories should be submitted to the Kōkiri Editor.
  • Consideration outside of the deadline may be given to those who have sought prior permission from the Kōkiri Editor.

Design and Layout

If you would like to supply designed or artwork files please seek permission first from the Kōkiri Editor. Once permission is given please layout artwork as per Kōkiri page specifications.

Publishing

  1. If Te Puni Kōkiri does publish your material you will be required to enter into an Agreement.
  2. Once published, Te Puni Kōkiri will own any intellectual property and copyright in the material.
  3. The editor will make the final decision as to the inclusion of the contribution given.
  4. Material will not be returned unless accompanied by a stamped, self addressed envelope.
  5. While all care is taken, no liability is accepted for loss or damage.
