Whakatōhea Pre-Settlement Claims Trust’s is seeking a mandate.

The mandate being sought will relate to all Whakatōhea historical Treaty of Waitangi claims whether registered or unregistered that arise from Crown actions and omissions that occurred prior to 21 September 1992, including but not limited to: WAI 87, WAI 203, WAI 287, WAI 339, WAI 558, WAI 864, WAI 1092, WAI 1433, WAI 1511, WAI 1758, WAI 1775, WAI 1781, WAI 1782, WAI 1787, WAI 1794, WAI 1795, WAI 1884, WAI 2006, WAI 2008, WAI 2055, WAI 2066, WAI 2107, WAI 2160, insofar as they relate to Whakatōhea.

Te Puni Kōkiri invites submissions, views or inquiries concerning the Tū Ake Whakatōhea Collective’s, Whakatōhea Pre-Settlement Claims Trust’s draft Mandate Strategy and Trust Deed. The mandate strategy and Trust Deed are available to view below.

Submissions must reach Te Puni Kōkiri no later than 21 December 2015. All correspondence will be subject to the Official Information Act 1982.
