Ngaitai Mandate Strategy

Ngaitai Iwi Authority is seeking a mandate to represent Ngaitai (Bay of Plenty) in negotiations with the Crown for the settlement of all Ngaitai historical Treaty claims. Ngaitai Iwi Authority’s mandate strategy sets out the process to seek a mandate from Ngaitai.

Ngaitai Iwi Authority is seeking a mandate to represent Ngaitai (Bay of Plenty) in negotiations with the Crown for the settlement of all Ngaitai historical Treaty claims. Ngaitai Iwi Authority’s mandate strategy sets out the process to seek a mandate from Ngaitai.

It is proposed that the Ngaitai Iwi Authority be the body to hold the mandate. The mandate strategy and Ngaitai Iwi Authority Trust Deed are available to view below. There is now an opportunity to review the strategy and provide feedback.

The Crown strongly encourages Ngaitai to participate in this online feedback opportunity by sending comments to mandatesubs@tpk.govt.nz.

Feedback will close on 7 December 2012.

All feedback received will be shared and discussed between the Crown and the Ngaitai Iwi Authority at the end of the 2 week period.
