Ngā tirohanga a te Toi Hapori

Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa (www.creativenz.govt.nz) has developed a policy that sets out what it means by “toi hapori” or “community arts”. As part of this policy development the organisation is consulting with arts groups throughout the country by means of an online questionnaire and is particularly keen to hear from Māori communities who actively maintain their distinctive artistic and cultural traditions

No reira haere, whakangaro atu. Ka hoki anō kia tātou ngā maramara a rātou mā tena koutou, tēnā hoki tatou.

Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa (www.creativenz.govt.nz) has developed a policy that sets out what it means by “toi hapori” or “community arts”. This will guide the way it supports community arts activities in New Zealand. As part of this policy development the organisation is consulting with arts groups throughout the country by means of an online questionnaire and is particularly keen to hear from Māori communities who actively maintain their distinctive artistic and cultural traditions. If your Māori arts and culture group would like to take part in this consultation, please click on the following link Community Arts Policy Consultation or contact Calvin Scott by phoning 04 499 3581 or email calvin.scott@creativenz.govt.nz.

The survey should take you approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Your responses will be kept confidential and secure, and no specific comment that you make will be attributed to you. Please feel free to forward this message and the link to the survey on to anyone you know who is involved in community arts activities and who would also be interested in taking part in the survey.

Please complete and submit the questionnaire by 4 pm on Thursday 30 June.  Nā tēnā rau, nā tēnā rau tipu ora ai te rākau.
