From Te Awa (near Maketū) to Te Maunu (Papamoa) to Titiraupenga (Pureora-Western Bays, Taupō) to Titi o Kura (the peak at the beginning of Kaweka Range near Te Haroto, Napier/Taupō Highway) and back to Te Awa.
The boundaries of Te Arawa region covers a land area of approximately 905,000 hectares serviced by Te Arawa Regional Office of Te Puni Kōkiri.
According to the 2006 Census, the Māori population of the Te Arawa region was 35,127 representing 6.2 percent of the total Māori population in New Zealand.
