The success of the Māori economy and Māori land-based businesses relies on how well they respond, recover and ultimately thrive in the face of COVID-19.

Te Puni Kōkiri has commissioned three reports to support businesses with their short, medium and long-term planning. The reports examine the current and anticipated impacts of COVID-19, and the risks and opportunities ahead, for land-based businesses and the Māori economy.

Now available, the second report updates data in the first report and looks at how to ‘prepare to recover’ from global and domestic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actions taken now can set the foundation for sustained growth and performance long after the pandemic is over.
