Suicide Prevention Strategy - Public Consultation

Opportunity to provide your thoughts and feedback on a draft suicide prevention strategy.


The draft strategy is the result of contributions from many people and organisations. It sets out the proposed direction to prevent suicidal behaviour in New Zealand. It also identifies a set of priority areas for action.

We welcome your thoughts and feedback on this draft strategy and invite you and your organisation to make a submission on the draft strategy.

You can provide feedback by:

• making a written submission by downloading and completing the submission form or by completing the online form

• making a written submission in your preferred format

• attending a discussion about the draft strategy to prevent suicide in New Zealand (discussion locations and venues to be confirmed and will be available on the Ministry of Health’s website).
