Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, designs, develops and delivers public policy that has a significant and positive impact for Māori.
Policy Partnerships Te Puni
Our commitment to enable whānau, hapū and iwi to succeed underpins everything that we do.
We believe that our people are at the heart of achieving this commitment and for that reason we are keen to recruit more talent, to add to our existing team of capable people.
Our Policy Partnerships Te Puni works at the forefront of policy development within Te Puni Kōkiri and across Government. We’re looking for talented and dedicated Policy Analysts, Senior Policy Analysts and Principal Policy Analysts to join our Wellington National Office to be a part of designing, developing and delivering the policies that will facilitate ongoing success and build our best future.
Policy Analysts will be responsible for providing high quality analysis, research and advice. As a Senior Analyst, you will lead and influence and Principal Analysts will provide intellectual vision and leadership. However, what is common across all our analyst roles is a need to be driven by a strong focus to improve outcomes for Māori in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
You will bring experience of working as a policy analyst within Government – but you’ll understand that these roles are unique as they are focused on supporting the Government to achieve better outcomes for Māori. Because of this, your understanding of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo, and your desire to make a tangible difference to Māori succeeding, will set you apart.
You will be a natural and effective communicator and you will work collaboratively across Government departments to produce and influence innovative policy that delivers results.
At Te Puni Kōkiri, we work to create an environment where you’ll flourish as part of a whānau that is committed to the kaupapa of Māori and whānau development - you’ll take pride in the work that we do because you know that it matters.
We are guided by our values of excellence, valuing people and relationships, working collectively and being creative and innovative. We invest in our people – you’ll be encouraged to develop and contribute to your fullest potential.
These opportunities are truly unique.
