Creating Our Best Future
Policy Analysts - Various
Policy Partnerships Te Puni
Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, designs, develops and delivers public policy that has a significant and positive impact for Māori.
Our commitment to enable whānau, hapū and iwi to succeed underpins everything that we do.
We believe that our people are at the heart of achieving this commitment and for that reason our new Deputy Chief Executive is keen to recruit more talent, to add to our already existing team of capable people.
We believe it is our people who embody our organisation’s potential, it is our people who influence the policy that enables Māori participation and success as Māori, and it is our people who will create our best future.
Our Policy Partnerships Te Puni works at the forefront of policy development within Te Puni Kōkiri. We’re currently looking for talented and dedicated Policy Analysts to join our Wellington National Office to be a part of designing, developing and delivering the policies that will facilitate ongoing success.
- Policy Analysts
- Senior Policy Analysts
- Principal Policy Analyst
Policy Analysts will be responsible for providing high quality analysis, research and advice. As a Senior Analyst, you will lead and influence and the Principal Analyst role will provide intellectual vision and leadership.
However, what is common across all roles is a need to be driven by a single-minded focus on improving outcomes for Māori in New Zealand.
You will bring experience of working as a policy analyst within Government – but you’ll understand that these roles are unique as they are totally focused on supporting the Government to achieve better outcomes for Māori. Because of this, your understanding of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo, and your desire to make a tangible difference to Māori succeeding, will set you apart.
You will be a natural and effective communicator and you will work collaboratively across Government departments to produce and influence innovative policy that delivers results.
At Te Puni Kōkiri, we work to create an environment where you’ll thrive as part of a whānau that is committed to the kaupapa of Māori succeeding as Māori - you’ll take pride in the work that we do, because you know that it matters.
We are guided by our values of excellence, valuing people and relationships, working collectively and being creative and innovative. We invest in our people – you’ll be encouraged to develop and contribute to your fullest potential. We believe strongly in work/life balance and understand that your whānau is just as important as you. And we’re committed to your wellbeing, financial security and learning and development – we even provide in-house Te Reo Māori Training and have our own Kapa Haka group.
If you add all of this to the knowledge that the work you’re doing really makes a difference, then you’ll know that these opportunities are truly unique.
