The Ministry for the Environment (MfE) has released a report describing the 2019 Kaitiaki survey’s findings.
The report highlights some of the key engagement issues that Māori faced with local and central government, including factors that affect the relationships between iwi, hapū, Māori and local government.
Te Puni Kōkiri worked alongside MfE to ensure Māori rights and interests are part of decision-making for the environmental issues and natural resources sector.
