Number of ECE services

The overall number of licensed Early Childhood Education (ECE) services has been increasing in the last few years. In 2001, there were 3,450 ECE services in New Zealand; by 2008 there were 3,881 ECE services. This is an increase of 12.5 percent in the number of licensed ECE services in New Zealand between 2001 and 2008.
