Māori and Early Childhood Education

Māori ECE Enrolments

On average, Māori accounted for between 19 percent and 20 percent of all ECE enrolments in New Zealand between 2001 and 2008. In total, Māori enrolments in ECE increased from 29,200 to 35,000 between 2001 and 2008, an increase of 19 percent.
