Waimarama Māori landowners are participating in a research programme with Massey University to develop tools for Māori landowners to assist with their economic transformation.
Te Puni Kōkiri is providing advice and information on tourism and has undertaken to support their involvement in the research project.

Waimarama Tourism, based at the Hawke’s Bay Museum in Napier, already provides a first-class cultural experience involving an interactive programme where they give visitors a taste of Māori culture.
