TOA Sports is a one-year full-time course offered by the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) as a joint venture between He Waka Tapu Trust, the Christchurch City Council and Te Puni Kōkiri.
It provides pathways for development in sport, education and employment opportunities. The course consists of two days of academic programmes at CPIT’s campus and three days of sports programmes at Queen Elizabeth II sports centre.
On completion of the course students will have gained a Level 3 Certificate in Foundation Studies, which enables further tertiary education or trade training.
