Research Team

This position provides a stimulating opportunity to work in a small Research team dedicated to developing an evidence base about what works for Māori. As a Senior Analyst with an understanding of how government services are delivered to Māori, you will have the opportunity to lead research work across a number of areas, as well as working with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Government experience in research relevant to Māori
  • Both quantitative and qualitative research skills
  • An interest in new research methods for understanding and measuring Māori wellbeing at the collective and individual level
  • Strong policy and analysis skills, backed with relevant work experience in the public sector
  • A proven ability to communicate in written and verbal form with a range of audiences ranging from Ministers to community groups to formal documents and reports
  • The ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
