This position provides a stimulating opportunity to work in a small Research team dedicated to developing an evidence base about what works for Māori. As a Senior Analyst with an understanding of how government services are delivered to Māori, you will have the opportunity to lead research work across a number of areas, as well as working with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Government experience in research relevant to Māori
Both quantitative and qualitative research skills
An interest in new research methods for understanding and measuring Māori wellbeing at the collective and individual level
Strong policy and analysis skills, backed with relevant work experience in the public sector
A proven ability to communicate in written and verbal form with a range of audiences ranging from Ministers to community groups to formal documents and reports
The ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
