Te Puni Kokiri does not offer scholarships or funding, but the following sites may be helpful.

Scholarships

TAKOA Rua-mano has a listing of Education scholarships for Māori, including:

The Māori Education Trust provides and administers scholarships in education for Māori students.

The Sir Apirana Ngata Memorial Scholarship makes scholarships available every year for full time study at any New Zealand Polytechnic, Wānanga or University.

Funding

Many government and non-government organisations, including iwi authorities and professional associations offer funding assistance.

Mā Te Reo supports projects, programmes and activities that contribute to local level Māori language regeneration.

The Commemorating Waitangi Day Fund supports events that commemorate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi and promote nation building and community building.

The Funding Information Service collects up to date funding information for community groups and individuals.

Access to the funding databases is available free to the public from public libraries and information centres throughout New Zealand, or search online (payment required).
