Te Kawau Mārō has submitted a draft mandate strategy to the Crown and intends to seek a mandate to represent the Maniapoto Large Natural Group (LNG) in Treaty settlement negotiations with the Crown.

The draft mandate strategy sets out the claimant definition, outlines the proposed representative structure and sets out the process for seeking a mandate from the Maniapoto LNG.
Submission Process
The Office of Treaty Settlements invites submissions, views or inquiries about the draft mandate strategy. Submissions should reach the Office of Treaty Settlements by Sunday 8 February 2015.
Please note that all submissions will be shared and discussed between the Crown and Te Kawau Mārō and will be subject to the Official Information Act 1982.
