Te Puni Kōkiri has an exciting opportunity available within the Office of the Deputy Chief Executive, Policy Partnership Te Puni for someone who wants to work at the cutting edge of public policy and contribute to enabling iwi, hapū and whānau Māori to succeed as Māori.
As a Policy Analyst you will work directly to the Assistant Chief Executives and support the Principal Policy Analyst in the Office of the Deputy Chief Executive. You will have a focus on leading the co-ordination of our Cabinet Committee process and supporting the quality assurance review process. You will also work across the Policy Partnership Te Puni and will be able to confidently engage with managers and their teams.
Our ideal candidate for this role will be curious, a critical thinker, have sound judgement and common sense, is an excellent communicator and writer with a commitment to growing and strengthening their understanding of whānau-centred policy development and the machinery of government. It is an advantage if you are already working in a policy analyst role.
You will also have an appreciation of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori. Having worked successfully with, or for, Māori is seen as an advantage.
