In 2008, 15 percent of ECE services provided bilingual instruction, and a further 12 percent of services provided Māori immersion services. Since 2005, more than a quarter of ECE services are provided using at least some te reo Māori (12-100 percent of teaching time) as a medium for instruction as shown in Table 1.
