The inaugural National Kaumatua Service Providers Conference was held at the Glenview International Hotel, Hamilton.

The conference was opened by Tariana Turia and hosted by Frankton Dinsdale Rauawaawa Kaumātua Charitable Trust. More than 100 service providers and kaumātua came together to share ideas, programmes and initiatives, to network and provide information to benefit the well-being of kaumātua.

Te Puni Kōkiri was a major sponsor and staff facilitated the workshop on “What are the barriers for accessing services to well-being?” for kaumātua.
