Vehicles

The provision of vehicles means Māori Wardens can travel around the motu to support other wardens when needed. It also means the safe transport of wardens to complete everyday duties and responsibilities – such as night patrols and ‘walk-throughs’.

Currently there are 29 vans available around the country for Māori Wardens to use. Of these vehicles, 15 have covered trailers. These are housed at local Police Stations, with Regional Coordinators or at Warden offices.

These vehicles have booking systems and you will need to contact your Regional Coordinator or local Police Iwi Liaison Officer to discuss booking the vehicle for your kaupapa.
